Music Video Storyboard
In the first scene I will have someone enter the room and clear away some boxes. The next scene shot I will have a close up of the robot toy, which leads to the third shot will be of the leaving the room with some boxes. Then we will see a few toys come to life and escape from one of the packed, but not taped down boxes. Then in the fifth, sixth and seventh scenes, we will see the robot toy come to life and come out from where he has been and try to play with the others toys, but he is outcasted. The other toys continue to party as the robot goes back to his hiding place. The final scenes are of someone coming back into the room and taking more boxes.

Magazine Advert
This is my magazine advert for the launch of my Digipak. My central image will also act as my logo for the band, as it represents my chosen song for the music video and also represents the band's music genre of pop/electronica clearly. I included reviews of the Digipak from prestigious music magazines to make my advert appear like a real magazine advert. Also I included the logos of popular social networking sites and a smart code, this is to make it appear realistic and to let the reader know that they can access this information using those sites and codes.

Booklet Design And Digipak Layout
This is my design for the booklet in my Digipak. I am going to include the lyrics of the songs on the album and I will also be including images of the band as well.
The first image for my Digipak will be my front cover, which will have the logo and an image of the band.
The second image is of the inside of my Digipak, once you have opened up the front cover. On the left-hand side is where there the album and an background image will be placed. And on the right-hand side is where the DVD booklet and an background image will be.
This image of the the inside of the Digipak once it has been fully opened. This shows the album on the left, the DVD in the centre and an image of the band to the right.
This final image is of the back of my Digipak. This will contain a small blurb, quotes and reviews from music magazines rating the album.
Magazine Advert Design
This is my design for my magazine advert. I am going to try to include many typical conventions of magazine adverts from what I have researched. These include the album cover or artwork associated with the band or artist, the album title, quotes and reviews for the album and links to further information, such as, a web address or social network links.

Magazine Advert Research
Each of these magazine adverts represents the artist and their chosen genre of music clearly. Most of the adverts include the release date of the CD and a few of their hit singles or some featuring artists. Also some have reviews from very popular and well known music magazines.

Digipak Ideas And Sketches
For my Digipak I want to connect the style of it to the music video, which is why I am including the robot that will be in my music video on my Digipak cover. It is important that there is a clear link between the music video and the design of the Digipak, as it will help promote my Digipak and link the two products together.
I want the style of the Digipak to have a arty feel, but to also have a hipster feel to it to and I want to have photography of the band on the inside. Also I want to keep the colour scheme of the Digipak bright, as the robot and other characters in my music video will be in bright coloured clothing.
This is my sketch for what I want my Digipak to look like. I want a picture of someone holding the robot toy close to the camera. I then want pictures of instruments and quotes on the back of the Digipak. Inside it I wanted a picture of a boy on the left who is shining a light to the right, and a girl on the right who is shining a light to the left, and in the middle a picture of them both with light shining on them from either side.

Digipak Research
Some of the key ideas for the Digipak are:
These are some examples of Digipaks that I liked:
All of these Digipaks keep the theme going throughout the whole Digipak. And the fact that it is connected throughout makes it not only visually strong, but clearly inkeeping with the particular band/artists style and genre.
- Booklet - containing sketches, photos etc.
- The cover artwork and photography - free poster/art book
- Blurb - containing reviews and comments from the band
- Barcode
- Age restrictions (12, 15, 18)
- Special features- behind the scenes, "making of" video, live performances etc.
- Biographical information on the band
- Bonus songs or remixes
- The band's logo
- Link to their website

Copyright Track Research
The genre of my copyright free track, Sad Robot- Pornophonique, is in the 8-bit electronic music genre. Pornophonique released their debut their album in 2007; it had only 8 tracks and it was called 8-bit Lagerfeuer.
They have performed more than 100 concerts in four different countries (Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland), although they don’t have any upcoming gigs at the moment. Unfortunately, the band doesn’t have any music videos, but they do have videos of their live performances on YouTube.
Pornophonique is a German electronic duo from Darmstadt, Germany and was formed by Kai Richter and Felix Heuser. They use a C64 and a Gameboy to produce their trademark 8-bit electronica sound. While guitarist and singer Richter also handles the C64, Heuser is responsible for the Gameboy sounds. Both decided that since they weren’t hadn’t heard anything from any record companies, they uploaded it for free onto the internet.
Youth Culture And Music Video Moodboard
This is my moodboard for my A2 music video project. I am doing a stop motion video to a copyright free track. The images you see are some of the characters, objects and settings that I will be using for the video. At the start of my video I will have someone leave a room to do something, when they do the toys in the room come to life. I will dress the person at the start of the video in a hipster style fashion, because I researched into hipsters and especially hipster fashion, and my track is an electronic pop sound which appeals to them.

Music Video Analysis - Beat Of My Drum By Nicola Roberts
There are many close ups in this video, most of them the hands and feet of various dancers, but there were many close up shots of the artist in the video, this relates back to Goodwin's ideas of record companies wanting close ups of the band or artist. This helps the audience to identify with and grow to like the artist. Also there are long shots when the artist is dancing with the back-up dancers and there is a tracking shot when she is walking off of the stage towards the end of the hall. And there is a pan when she dances with the three female back-up dancers, whilst shots of men watching them are shown. This is to show that the focus is on the artist.
The music video relates to Goodwin's ideas by the way that it video cuts to the beat of the song. Especially when the song skips a little, the dancers are rewinded to match the music. Also there is a point when the word 'love' is spelt out to match the song. And the video has been filmed in different sections near the end of the video, this allows the video to be edited together in layers and has been played around with, to make the dancers either dance independently or collectively in time with the music.
This music video is very peformance based, and Joe Gow would identify this video as a song and dance number, these videos focus on the physical abilities of the dancing performer and the vocal presentation of the song, usually through lip-syncing techniques, which is clearly represented throughput the video. Also Steve Jones would say that this is an analog narrative music video, which is a non-concert performance of the song intercut with other material. Another view of the music video genre would be Diane Railton and Paul Watson's. They would class it as a staged performance video, the dance routines and the stage and audience, shows us that this video is for us (the real audience) to watch. Also the dance routines clearly show the video to be from the pop music genre.
The mise-en-scene in very in keeping with the style that the artist is representing, quirky pop music in the 21st century, which is shown in the clothes that she is wearing a colourful, patterned design. Also there back-up dancers are wearing blold bright clothing in the video, this to to stand out and contrast against the plain biege and white backgrounds of the hall. And there are lots of chairs, speakers and amps scattered on the stage and around the room. This is trying to tell the audience that it is a hall used for musical performances or productions.
Also the artist uses the video to develop her own iconography as a pop singer, this is an important part of Goodwin's theory of music videos. The lyrics in the song also have a reference to Dirty Dancing with "Baby in the corner learning quick." This is also connecting with the lyrics before "Two left feet, I had no beat", the lyrics are telling a story of what she used to be like and now she has changed and wants to show people what she has achieved.
